As part of social responsibilities, a Benue Politician,Daniel Ukpera has donated ropes to goat rearers in Makurdi, the capital of Benue state
The Cable reports that Ukpera had once contested to represent Guma constituency at the state house of assembly election under the platform of Labour Party (LP).
According to report, the ropes were donated to Imande Akpu and Tse-Chagu communities in support of the state anti-open grazing and ranches establishment law introduced by Samuel Ortom, the state governor.
It was reported that the former state house of assembly contestant said that the donation would further help in the ongoing campaign against open grazing and prevent animals from roaming the streets.
Benue for sometime now has been facing the challenge of herder- farmer crisis which has claimed many lives and altered economy activities in the state
