The social media has been awashed with the news of Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, who allegedly performed at a crowded concert Saturday night, in Abuja, despite the restrictions in the country.
This was coming months after he was invited by the police for attending Funso Akindele’s husband birthday bash that had many people in attendance.
The singer by his latest act is considered to have disregarded COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing directive, to prevent the spread of Corona virus that is ravaging the country.
Report said that the concert was meant to be a drive-in event but the appearance of fans and fun seekers in drove made it to go against the law of the land.
Although details of the concert were sketchy as at the time this report was compiled, a twitter user provided some unconfirmed details:
@ OmoGbajaBiamila wrote: “This unfortunate concert by Naira Marley was put together by Play Network Africa, Traffic Bar, El’Carnival and was proudly sponsored by Glenfiddich.
“Silverbird Entertainment Centre was the venue while Nairabox and Ariiya sold the tickets.
The act has however been criticised by internet users who believed that government may have a hand it.
