Ahead of flight resumption that is expected to happen anytime from now,the Federal Airports Authority, FAAN, has told passengers to arrive at airports three hours before check-in time.
According to the authority, this is to enable passengers to check in on time using the new COVID 19 protocol.
It said via it official Twitter handle: “COVID 19 flight resumption protocol for passengers: You are advised to arrive at the airports three hours before your flight due to new COVID 19 safety checks”
The federal government had in March, suspended domestic flights in the country to curtail the spread of deadly coronavirus.
It recently announced that domestic flights would resume at all airports by Sunday, June 21.
On the modalities for the operation of flights once resume, Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika said consultations have been on and will continue between the ministry and industry ‘stakeholders’ on the best ways to operate profitably while at the same time ensure the safety of travellers.
