As part strategies to strengthen relationship with lagosians, the Lagos State Waste Management Agency, LAWMA, has unveiled nollywood acts as agency’s brand ambassadors.
Managing Director of LAWMA, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni,explained the move for the initiative as a way of connecting people to the activities of the agency in a more simpler way.
More importantly, he added that the initiative will draw the agency closer to the people.
He said,“The LAWMA today is a refocused one, fully committed to its core mandate of excellent waste management in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
“This is an era of zero tolerance for filth and environmental nuisance. We must do it and will stop at nothing to achieve it.”
Odumboni further expressed that LAWMA will be on a higher pedestal and better positioned to discharge its responsibilities to the full satisfaction of the people.
The LAWMA brand ambassadors include:Bolanle Ninalowo, Olatayo Amokade popularly known as Ijebu, actress Foluke Daramola, comedian Oluwatoyin Bayegun popularly called Woli Arole, Adenike Hamzah, comedian Onyebuchi Ojieh and TV reality star, Tobi Bakre.
Unveiling the ambassadors, Odumboni expressed confidence in the ability of the artistes to drive the mission of LAWMA, given their professional resume.
In his remark, one of the ambassadors, Ninalowo appreciated the gesture extended to him and promised to deliver as expected.
On her part, Foluke Daramola, who described the initiative as ‘Nollywood for LAWMA’, lauded the efforts which she accepts as a challenge to change the face of LAWMA.
The event was graced by the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo Olu on Monitoring and Enforcement, Mr. Ayo Williams, Chief Technical Officer of LAWMA, Dr Olohunwa Tijani, guests and staffs of LAWMA.
