The All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected the claims that a troop of policemen has forcefully barricaded Governor Nyesom Wike in his hotel room.
Rather, the party that the Rivers state Governor was only quarantined in respect to COVID-19 protocols.
APC Edo State reacted via its official twitter handle said.
The party’s reaction nonetheless other observers have alleged that the PDP while in government did the same thing to the opposition alleging that Governor Rotimi Amaechi was turned back from entering Ekiti State in 2014 for the governorship election that enthroned Ayodele Fayose for the second time as governor.
The PDP had on Friday evening alleged that the police had quarantined Governor Wike while at the same time leaving his contemporaries, Governors Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodinma of Kano and Imo States respectively to move freely.
