A policewoman, W/Cpl Bolaji Senjirin, has given birth to a set of triplets in Ogun State.
Senjirin is attached to the Ogun State police command and an orderly to the wife of Ogun state Commissioner of Police.
She gave birth to a girl and two boys.
The State Commissioner of Police Edward Ajogun, in company of the executive members of Police Community Relations committee (PCRC) visited the Kemta residence of Senjirin on Wednesday.
The Commissioner of Police, who expressed his gratitude to God Almighty for the safe delivery of the babies assured the family of his continued support towards the upkeep of the babies, saying “the mother, who is an orderly to the CP’s wife is regarded as a member of the CP’s family.
“Ajogun also made a cash donation to the babies and prayed that they will live to fulfill their destiny,” Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement.
“In the same vein, the Chairman of PCRC in the state, Arch. Samson Kunle Popoola, announced a cash donation of N25,000 on behalf of the body, while the women wing of the PCRC also pledged to support the family. The sum of N10,000 was also donated to the family by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
“Other officers in the company of the CP are; the DPO of Kemta division, CSP Grace Ejiofor and the personal assistant to the CP, DSP Ade Akiti.
“The triplets are all in good condition,” Oyeyemi said.
