Anambra State Government has approved Saturdays as school days in place of Mondays
This takes effect from this Saturday, October 30, 2021.
Report says the development is in response to the Indigenous People of Biafra’s Monday sit-at-home directive, and the need to cover the academic curriculum of schools in the state.
Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba, when contacted said some other states like Enugu had adopted the measure.
He added that the idea is to ensure pupils learn as much as possible in a safe environment.
