Concerned Nation Builders Initiative(CNI), an NGO, has yet unveiled another signpost project at Odo-Noforija Police Station, in Epe Division.
Oba(Dr) Babatunde Ogunlaja, the Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, commended CNI kind gestures at the unveiling of the signpost project on Tuesday, In Odo-Noforija, In Epe Division.
He commended the laudable project by CNI, stating that such signage would serve as an indication for strangers and visitors to know the location of the Odo-Noforija police station in the community.
Ogunlaja was ably represented by High Chief Toyeeb Odumosu, the Agbon of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, in Epe Division.
He urged the youths to shun social vices, cultism and other form of lawlessness in the community.
He advised the youths to be agents of change and not agents of destruction.
He enjoined residents and individuals to work closely with the Nigeria Police to fight against criminality in our community/society.
Also, Professor Nosirudeen Onibon, Provost, Michael Otedola College of Education, Noforija, in Epe Division, assured the administration of the Nigeria police of his continual support towards their needs to fight against social vices in our environ/community.
He said that security is life and we all need to be vigilance to ensure a safer environment.
“I will contribute my quota towards the installation of the CCTV cameras in the police station.
“This is part of our institution CSR to the host community and to also ensure a peaceful atmosphere where the institution is situated,” he said.
Onibon commended CNI, the NGO, for their laudable initiatives towards the development of Epe Division.
“I prayed the Almighty God continue to strengthen you all and give the organisation the power and finance to do more for the betterment of the entire community, ” he said.
In the same vein, Mr Idris Tele Olukoya, the founder of CNI, said that the gestures was to face-lift the police station and for easy identification of the location of the Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Station in Odo-Noforija.
He said that the government alone cannot do it, it requires the support of individuals and organisation to make the society a better place for us all to live.
“This is part of the NGO corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the community.
“CNI has done numerous community service projects across Epe Division and will continue to do more.
“Because, the NGO is a community based organisation, charity they say, begins at home.
“As a nation builders, we need to start building the nation from our various homes/community before extending it to every other parts of the larger society, ” he said.
Tele-Olukoya said that the CCTV cameras would soon be installed in all the police station across Epe Division.
He said that the police station are also proned to hazard therefore, they need to have a close watch of what is happening around their environment and the immediate community.
He said that CNI is committed to serve the community better and together we can make it happened.
“Government alone cannot do it, It requires individual and organisational support to right against crime, corruption and lawlessness in our community/society, ” he said.
