Nigeria ended their 2021 AFCON campaign following a 1-0 lost to Tunisia in the round of 16 in Garoua on Sunday.
Nigeria was the only team with 100 percent record in the group stages, having won all their three matches against Egypt (1-0), Sudan (3-1), Guinea Bissau (2-0) respectively.
But Tunisia, who lost twice in the group stage and only went through as one of the best third-place teams, eliminated Nigeria in the first game of the knockout stage.
