Idris Tele-Olukoya, Coordinator, Concerned Nation Builders Initiative(CNI), a Non-governmental organisation, says that the importance of signage in a community cannot be overemphasized.
Tele-Olukoya disclosed this during an interview with newsmen in Epe, on Saturday.
He said that, the Importance of Entrance Signage for Neighborhoods, Communities and Travellers can not be overemphasized.
“Entrance signs play an important role in the aesthetics, as well as function, of neighborhoods and residential communities.
“Also known as entrance signage, they are installed at the entrance where they provide essential information to residents and travelers alike.
“Unfortunately, some people overlook the importance of entrance signs, resulting in a lackluster neighborhood or community.
Signage is the design or use of signs and symbols to communicate a message, ” he said.
According to him, Signs are any kind of visual graphics created to display information to a particular audience.
“This is typically manifested in the form of wayfinding information in places such as streets or on the inside and outside buildings.
“The main purpose of signs is to communicate, to convey information designed to assist the receiver with decision-making based on the information provided on the signage, ” he said.
Tele-Olukoya said that part of the non-governmental organisation Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) was to erect signposts across Epe Division for the proper direction and indication of a destination.
He mentioned some of the edifice that the NGO has installed a signage as; Epe Divisional Police Station, Noforija Police Station.
Others as; Mojoda Ultra Modern Market, Pobo Market, Epe Fish Market and Epe Club.
Also, Police booths was also installed across Epe Division in collaboration with Epe Club.
Tele-Olukoya expressed his profound appreciation to Epe Club for the rare opportunity while thanking the donor, Haji(Chief) Taoheed Olowo Fowosere for his donation and collaboration to make the signage possible.
The Coordinator also deem-it-fit to recognize and appreciate the organisation regular donors and philanthropists as; Prof. Nosirudeen Olajide Onibon(Provost now Deputy VC of Mocped now Lasueed).

“Team CNI enjoined every other organisations to follow suite in supporting the government developmental agendas for communities.
“The government cannot do it alone. It requires the public, private, partnership(PPP).
” CNI is open partnership with private and public investors/organisations, individuals and government officials ” he said.
Tele-Olukoya added that Epe Club which was founded in 1974 as produce numerous illustrous sons in Epe Division and across the globe.
He added that, Epe club is a premier club in Epe Division, It is also a social institution that is renowned for its ability to ensure a peaceful co-existence and harness the collective resources and potentials of Epe Division.
