Princess Bolanle Kassim, Convener of APC Nigerian Women In Politics(ANWIP), has drums support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President in the forthcoming general elections, scheduled for 2022.
Princess Bolanle Kassim, on Tuesday also inaugurated the newly appointed/elected executive member of the state chapter of ANWIP, in Lagos State.
Princess Bolanle recalled that early this year, ANWIP has launched the group in Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Abuja chapter.
She said that the purpose of the launching was for the group to mobilize all Nigerian women to support and vote for Asiwaju Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.
“We have a massive numbers of female gender across the country and I am sure with this campaign of mobilisation, Tinubu will win as the President of Nigeria.
“We will not relent our efforts in sensitizing and mobilizing our people until Tinubu become victorious in the forthcoming general elections, ” she said.
Princess Bolanle Kassim added that the group has extended her campaign to the market women, artisans, single mothers, widows and widowers and other women across board to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Everybody in Nigeria knows that Asiwaju is the best among all the other candidates aspiring to be President considering his antecedents in politics.
“Asiwaju has done it before in Lagos, we know his capabilities, we know he is a strategist.
“We know he can do it, we know he can deliver and give us a new Nigeria that is why we have bring ourselves together to mobilise women for the support of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu because he is a leader that can be trusted.
“That is why we are mobilising ourselves all over the 36 states in Nigeria including FCT in Abuja, ” she said.
Princess Bolanle said that the group has been launched in Abuja, we have all our officers in the states and in the geo-political zones.
“We have done series of programs in Abuja purposely because of Asiwaju to mobilize women in various capacity.
“We want to go all out to assist women in Nigeria. We won’t rest on our oars after the electioneering season, we want to keep the group alive to assist all women including the non partisan women and partisan women, ” she said.
In her speech, Hon. Abiodun Martins, reiterates the need to vite for Tinubu because he has been tested and trusted in Nigeria governance.
“You can’t compare Lagos with any part of Nigeria. He has done tremendously well. He is the only one that has the capacity. The capacity to carry on where President Buhari has stopped. He has what it takes to rule this nation.
“It has been his dream and also capable to achieve it. He has the capable team he has groomed that can rule this nation with him. We should forget about religion.
“Asiwaju is a lover of all religions. He doesn’t discriminate as long as you have the capacity to serve the nation and its people, “She said.
The Woman Leader of Arewa Community in Lagos State, Alhaja Fatima Bako, said that PVC should serve three different purposes.
The purposes are; Get your PVC, use it rightly and use it to vote for the right candidates and the right candidate is our leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
“So I want all the women to come out en mass and vote like never before in 2023. Asiwaju is a super power somebody, he has done it before, he is very intelligent and has all the ideas.
“I can assure you by now that Asiwaju knows what to do about the insecurity plaguing the economy, he is just waiting to be sworn-in Insha Allah.
“We believe if Asiwaju emerged, he will carry us along more than ever before, “Fatimah said.
Also, the LGA Chairman Onigbongbo LCDA and former Chair of chairman Conference 57, Alhaja Aminat Iyabo Akerele, said that Tinubu doesn’t downgrade nor discriminate, If you have the requisite skills to lead and bring development to the people.
“If you look at Lagos cabinet, we have more than 10 women in it. Asiwaju recognised me when my education was so low. He didn’t downgrade me because of my level of education.
“He said I have political experience and he made me Ward Chairman of his ward at that time. I started developing myself through that platform because he trusted in my ability.
“If you genuinely love Asiwaju, come out en mass with your PVC, talk to your friends, colleagues in the market, shops tell them the good things Asiwaju did so they can be in the know, if they weren’t, “Akerele said.
The News Agency of Nigeria cited some of the achievement programs facilitated by ANWIP which includes; A national mega rally at Abuja of 20,000 women, Mobilisation of women in the 36 states of the country to obtain voters cards.
Others as; sensitisation and mobilisation of women across the country to vote for our party in 2023, Printing of 10,000 T-shirts and face caps, Production of customised Ankara
Also, Visitation and campaign across the country, Media symposia and talk shows to mention but few.
Princess Bolanle Kassim pledges to support and canvass support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria President in the coming 2023 general elections.
