The media has been thrown into a mourning mood again as African Independent Television, AIT’s Nkiruka Ndom is reportedly dead.
Her death was coming few weeks after Thisday and New Telegraph newspapers lost their law correspondent and Saturday editor respectively.
Ndom was said to have passed on at a Lagos hospital on Sunday at about 10pm.
Some close sources said she underwent a surgery on Tuesday and had since been fine not until death came knocking yesternite.
Meanwhile on same Tuesday around 8pm, she posted on her Facebook wall thus :” Jesus Bore the Disease; It is gone”, as friends congratulated her on her health status.
A source in AIT said that she spoke with her yesterday around 4pm and was surprised to hear the news of her passing away this morning.
A visit to her Facebook page revealed that she was still active on the social media as at 7:08pm.
Her last post however didn’t raise any suspicion of imminent death.
Until her death, she was a reporter cum newscaster with AIT Lagos.
