Nigerians have come for the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, for refusing to wear a Facemask at a public occasion despite the health threat in the country.
The Governor who attended the funeral of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, in Abuja alledgedly breach the COVID-19 guideline.
However, his wife, who sat next to him wore a Facemask.
Arotile,Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, reportedly died last week in an accident at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna State.
In several photos posted on social media, the governor was seen exchanging pleasantries with VIPs without wearing a mask.
The Governor has always denied the reality of COVID-19 in Kogi state which he manifested in today’s outing.
He once said,“Do not give in to fear and evil of the issues of COVID-19. It is a disease that has been imported, propagated and forced on the people for no just cause. Nothing kills faster than fear. I urge you all not to accept cut and paste as COVID-19.
“It is only out to create fear, panic, and pandemic, orchestrated to reduce and shorten the lifespan of the people. Whether medical experts and scientists, believe it or not, COVID-19 is out to shorten the life spans of the people. It is a disease propagated by force for Nigerians to accept.”
Meanwhile, President Buhari has on Thursday worn a Facemask after five months as he embarked on a peace mission to Mali.
