The Permanent Vice Chairman, Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, the Alara of Ilara kingdom, in Epe Division of Lagos State, HRM Oba(Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, and the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Hon. Abdulrasaq Adeniyi Saliu, with some members of Concerned Nation Builders Initiative (CNI), on Tuesday April 27,2021, stormed the ancient Mojoda Market to unveil the Signpost mounted on the main entrance gate of the Market, which was facilitated by CNI, an NGO.
Delighted with the Initiative of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), CNI, which has been making positive impact across the nooks and crannies of the division, Oba Ogunsanwo, commended the Cordinator of the organisation, Comrade Idris Tele-Olukoya and his team for building a better Epe Division, Lagos state and Nigeria at large.
Oba Ogunsanwo urged the Youth to emulate CNI, instead of involving themselves in social vices which can neither bring them honour, nor profit their families and Epe Division.
He also revealed that as a Monarch, his concern is greater development of Epe Division and his people, and he will never fail in contributing his quotas to make this a reality.
The monarch did not forget to commend the man who turned the market to a modern one, with locked-up shops and other facilities, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu. On the reelection of the Chairman, this intelligent Monarch only prayed that God’s will shall prevail.
He concluded his short remarks by describing the new Signpost as a good facelift for the ancient market and a better way of advertising it to more people, the passers by, and, especially the travelers, who travel through the Ijebu-Ode – Epe Road on a regular basis but never knew the name of the market and its valuables.
In his remarks, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, Chairman, Eredo LCDA in Epe Division, commended CNI for their passion about making Epe Division an envy of other divisions in the state through advanced development.
He said with the Signpost provided, the group has improved on the beauty of the Ultra – Modern Market, which his administration turned the ancient Mojoda market to engiable height within a short time.
He promised that as a government, he will never relent in giving support to anything that has to do with development of Eredo and his people.
Saliu, therefore admonished the group to remain focused on its determination to make things work better in Eredo and Epe Division at large.
The Chairman thanked Oba Ogunsanwo for being an exemplary Monarch whose laudable contributions have continued to be felt in Eredo, Epe Division and all over the State.
In a chat with our reporter, Com. Idris Tele-Olukoya, described Alara of Ilara as number one Donor of the Signpost but his kind gesture was well supported by the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA.
Tele-Olukoya, therefore commended the donors for their readiness and commitment to make Eredo a betterr community to live in it.
He pointed out that, the group still has a lot of activities which will put Epe Division on a better developmental platform.
The Cordinator revealed that very soon, the organisation will start programmes and activities that will improve security of lives and properties in the division, since insecurity is now the major challenge in the country.
He stated that the members of the organisation will not fold their hands until things get worse before taking necessary action to protect lives and properties in the community.
