The Alara of Ilara Kingdom in Epe Division of Lagos State, Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, on Thursday flagged off the construction of a N25 million health facility in the community.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 30-bed hospital was donated by Gate and Cater Properties, a real estate developer.
Upon completion in December this year, the hospital will have facilities such as children, female and male wards, pharmacy, emergency point and ambulance, among others.
Performing the foundation laying ceremony of the project in Ilara-Eredo, Oba Ogunsanwo appreciated the kind gesture of the real estate company for building a hospital for the community.
“On behalf of myself and the community, we say thank you once again to Gate and Cater Property for their kind gesture,” the royal father stated.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Managing Director of Gate and Carter Property, Mr Tunji Olaseinde, said that the project was being executed as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
According to him, the hospital will be handed over to the local government upon completion.
“Our company has thousands of acres of land in Ilara community and we deem it fit to give back to the community that accommodates our company into their midst.
“We also exist to bridge the gap between Real Estate and peace of mind for people, whether you want to find your dream home or boost your investment portfolio,” he said.
