The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was in attendance at the service of commemoration in honour of late Queen Elizabeth II at The British Residence, Ikoyi.
Sharing photos on his Facebook page, Sanwo-Olu, also signed the condolence register,
He said, “Queen Elizabeth II lived a remarkable life of service and devotion to duty from her first day on the throne till the very last hour. For her, service and duty to the people of United Kingdom and the entire Commonwealth of Nations was a sacred duty and she did it faithfully to the very end. “
He added “On behalf of the good people of Lagos, we pray for the Royal Family and it is our desire that the reign of King Charles III will strengthen stronger relationships and partnerships between UK and Nigeria and the world,”
