A Facebook user has questioned the widely celebrated win of Akin Adesina, asking how his victory will affect him and change his life as a Nigerian.
This followed the re-election of Adesina as a second term President of African Development Bank, AFDB.
As a result of the win, many including world leaders have taken to different platforms to congratulate Adesina on the rare feats.
One of them was a former Minister of Finance, Dr.(Mrs) Okonjo Iweala who wrote on her Facebook page: “Wonderful to get the news of the re-election of Akin Adesina as President of AFDB. Hearty congratulations to you, my brother, and to Grace! Wishing you five more fruitful years!!”
Reacting to Iweala’s message, one Effiong Ekpo wrote, ” Congratulations sir but permit me to ask a sincere question- how does this concern me as a Nigerian ?”
Ekpo’s question has since stirred debate on social media.
