A 23-year-old woman, Abibat Kehinde, who was abandoned at Epe General Hospital, three months after given birth to twins by her okada rider lover, begged Nigerians for support to ease her suffering.
Kehinde made the plea in an interview with The Parrot, on Thursday, in Epe.
She said that the suffering encountered since she was discharged in the hospital in the early month of June was becoming intolerable.
“The kids cries everyday and night due to lack of sufficient food to consume. I hardly sleep in the night because of the cry of the children.
“I don’t know what to do, has it is becoming a deterrent to my life, feeding two children under poverty.
“I have nowhere to run to than to beg Nigerians for support to ease this suffering, It is killing, ” she said.
She said that she has been the only one catering for this little kids, my jobless mother tried her best but not enough and she said she can’t continue anymore because of financial incapacity.
“I am left all alone, my husband is no where to be found. God please help me, she said.
Kehinde said that since the time she has been discharged in the hospital, her life has not remain the same due to financial crisis.
She added everything was becoming terrible for her. Baby foods are unaffordable, food items prices are also outrageous.
“I don’t know how I will survive this trying period. I need help! I need help!, ” she said.
According to her, she lives in one bedroom apartment her two kids, her mother and tow of her siblings in one room apartment.
“Life is difficult for us and the little kids are not comfortable in the environment.
“We have been living from hand to mouth and mouth to hand sine the past few weeks.
“I even thought of going to the street of Epe to be begging for money to survive the lives of this innocent children, ” she said.
