Godwin Okhawere, also known as JesusParrot, a Nigerian comedian, compere and actor announced he is rebranding to reflect his new personality as Godwin JP.
For the past 15 years, Godwin has been providing professional compere and entertaining services, but now he is repositioning and rebranding to reflect his new personality, reach a wider audience across Africa and beyond, expand his personal vision and create mind-blowing entertaining content.
The rebranding includes a change of name, a new Logo and a relaunch of his website.
About Godwin JP
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, where he had most of his growing years but hails from Owan West, Edo State. Godwin is a graduate of the University of Benin, Edo State where he obtained a degree in Mass Communication, specializing in Broadcasting. Godwin is an associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a trained British Council/Arterial Network Project Manager for Art.
He obtained an advanced certificate in Integrated Brand Experience (IBX) from Orange Academy; studied acting for the screen at EbonyLife Creative Academy; he also took a course in copyright law (Harvard CopyrightX), a globally run programme implemented in Nigeria by the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) under the auspices of Harvard University. Godwin is a StartingBloc Fellow.
He has shared the same stage with the likes of HolyMallam, Koffi Tha Guru, Owen Gee, Lepacious Bose, Seyi Law, Teju Baby Face, Cee Y, Jedi, Bash and several other comedians.
He has anchored a few activities for the following organizations – 9mobile, FirstBank, TrustFund, Sweet Sensation, CEAN, LABAF, Foursquare, RCCG, MegaNet, Dominion Harvest and numerous social, political and corporate events across Nigeria. He was the host of the Creative Enterprise Session at the British Council, Smart Enterprise Session and Comedy Live, Lagos.
He has also featured in a few movies such as Tinsel, Finishing Strong and Roadside on Africa Magic and his mantra is ‘just to make people happy’
