The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the winner of the Adamawa State gubernatorial election.
In the absence of Hudu Yunusa Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Adamawa State, INEC concluded the collation of the supplementary election results on Tuesday.
Fintiri, the incumbent Governor of Adamawa State and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), got 430,861 votes in total. He had polled the highest number of votes in the supplementary election with 9,337 out of about 16,000 votes cast.

Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) popularly called Binani, polled 398,788 votes in total. Binani managed 6,514 votes in the supplementary election.
